The Lee Building Industry Association’s (Lee BIA) Summit Awards were held at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa on Saturday, October 15th.
DeAngelis Diamond Construction and DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group were presented with the awards for:
- Best Commercial Contractor Project – Healthcare, for Hendry Regional Medical
- Best Commercial Contractor Project Public Works, for Fire Station #1
- Merit Award – Commercial Contractor Project – Commercial, for Naples Mazda
This Summit Awards program is the only one of its kind in Southwest Florida, the goal of this event is to celebrate success and professionalism within the commercial and remodeling industry. Created by the Commercial Contractors Council of the Lee BIA, the Summit Awards provides an opportunity to recognize excellence in this effort. Judging takes place outside of the local area with experienced industry professionals.
Reggie Morgan named to Business Review’s 40 Under 40

Reggie Morgan, CEO of DDHG has been recognized in the Gulf Coast Business Review’s 2011 40 Under 40 selections. Each year, the Business Review selects 40 individuals under 40 years old from the business community. Carefully selected from nominations and original reporting, these individuals represent the best and brightest from Tampa to Naples.

Hendry Regional Medical Center Expansion Completed

DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group, LLC recently completed Hendry Regional Medical Center located in Clewiston, Florida. This 36,500 sq.ft. Acute care hospital expansion includes the addition of an Emergency Department, Radiology, Surgery, Outpatient Surgery and Laboratories. It is a stand-alone building that ties into the existing hospital’s ED entrance. The project also consists of multiple interior renovations and the construc¬tion of a new DATA Center in the existing facility. As for the exterior of the new addition, it is built with engineered metal studs to withstand a CAT 3 level hurricane. The accuracy of the contract documents by Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architect, coupled with the supervision on the jobsite and the subcontractors, led to a successful completion in just under a year. In a statement Lynn Beasley, CEO of Hendry Regional said “We couldn’t be more pleased with the work of DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group as the construction partner on our new outpatient facilities. DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group awarded Park Royal Psychiatric Hospital

DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group was recently awarded the Park Royal Psychiatric Hospital, located on the HealthPark campus in Fort Myers, FL. This 76 bed in-patient psychiatric hospital facility will house 4 nursing units, a 19-bed Seniors Transitions Program, a 19-bed Seniors Intervention Program, a 19-bed Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, and a 19-bed Adult Treatment Program. Architecture, Incorporated designed the facility. The project is currently in pre construction phase and is slated to begin construction in February, 2011.
Groundbreaking at Hendry Regional Medical Center

On Tuesday, September 7th, DDHG broke ground on the new 36,500 sq.ft. hospital expansion of Hendry Regional Medical Center. Around 150 people came out including State Congressmen, City Council members, County Sheriff, Hospital Board and the School Superintendant. This project will include the addition of an Emergency Department, Radiology, Surgery, Outpatient Surgery and laboratories. It is a stand-alone building that will tie into the existing hospital’s ER entrance. The project also consists of multiple interior renovations and the construction of a new DATA Center in the existing facility. The expansion is slated to be completed July, 2011.
DDHG Completes Naples Community Hospital Renovation

DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group has successfully completed the 22,000 sq.ft renovation of the 1st and 2nd floor public corridors at Naples Community Hospital’s South Campus. The 22 phase project was completed as all night work with nightly set-up and take-down, in order to allow public use of construction areas during business hours. Project also included renovation and control replacement of 12 elevators. Class four infection control required throughout project.
